Collection: The Mini-Hive (Two-Boxes)

The two-box mini hive is the equivalent of a 6 frame nuc box and is a good start for a small colony of bees.  Boxes can be added as the colony grows, and this happens very quickly in the spring.  If you desire to keep the colony small, use the aluminum bar included to zip-tie two frames and transfer into a langstroth hive to boost a weaker colony or start a new mini-hive.  

The Mini hive comes with a screened bottom board, entrance reducer, two deep boxes, 12 frames, an insulated inner cover, a feeder shim, a gabled roof and an aluminum bar.
